I can see how an acorn can one day become an oak tree ...but I don't see why some people make such an issue out of petty things, making a big issue out of nothing.

God does see.

An army officer may have us dig ditches, only to have us fill them back up again.

Why is that??

To dig down deep within ourselves ...and to fill us with discipline.

It is not a secret that we are being taught discipline ...which is critical on the battlefield, and it may save your life.

Discipline involves obedience.

Adam and Eve may have felt they were outwitted, but they also learned the significance of how wrong it was to eat the fruit.

Though the event was crafted by the serpent ...it was still disobedience on their part.

A pilot can be the 'ace' of the airways ...dodging the enemy.

As he gets older, his skills diminish ...and he has to likely be replaced.  He doesn't often like it, but he can train his replacement.  His vast knowledge is invaluable, and that has increased with age.

As he gets even older, his mind may diminish ...but what he has taught others has not.

He has taught many ...and has taught them well.

As he passes away, that which he has taught others ...hasn't (passed away, that is).

Tell others of the Word of God.

Small things can lead to big things.

It is said that a little leaven can leaven  the whole lump.

But, whether it be as small as a mustard seed, or an acorn ...great things can come from small things.  Yet, though we should be aware of how wrong can build ...good things can start small too.

Spread a little kindness today.

Tell a bit of your testimony, and love for what Jesus has done.

And pray a lot for the little that others may miss.

Like drops in a rain barrel ...it adds up to a lot.

And it makes all the difference ...often more than you think.

Yet, even if you cannot see the difference in the world ...at least others may be able to see it in you.
